KYC Clubhouse is a Popular Place

The clubhouse is seeing plenty of use this winter, thanks in part to the recent additions such as television and washer and dryer.

Oh, the usual steak night and other fun social activities are still happening–but in addition, many of our members are finding the clubhouse a welcome haven in this season’s cooler temperatures. The coffee pot is usually on by 6:30 in the morning, and its not unusual for one or more of our KYC families to spend an afternoon watching movies, cooking, washing clothes, or just socializing with friends.

Michael and Gabe examine the ship model, while Eleanor and Laura make cupcakes, and Megan and John prepare chili.

The daily activity level is good for dock and clubhouse security. Strangers don’t come around, pipes don’t freeze, docks are shoveled and salted, and any problems are likely to be reported sooner.

Generally, the club has been kept in excellent condition by everyone. We need to give a special word of thanks, however, to club stewards Robert and Cindi Davis, who keep everything stocked and make sure the facility is always extra clean and shiny.
