KYC St. Patty’s Benefit Dinner

Good Eats on FRIDAY, March 14!

All this for First City Council on Cancer!

UPDATE: The St. Patrick’s Day dinner came off without a hitch–turnout was a little lower than last year, but KYC was able to donate $1000 to the First City Council on Cancer! Thanks to everyone who participated!

Hi all KYC members! March marks the month of our annual fund raiser benefiting First City Council on Cancer (FCCC). And we’ve planned it again as a 2014 event for March 14, happy hour at 5:00 and dinner starting around 5:30 pm, at the KYC Clubhouse in Thomas Basin. It’s corned beef and cabbage, with trimmings (like tatties, carrots, scones, salad, and BYOB beverages). And maybe some green ice cream too!

The cost? Hosted by the club, and prepared by volunteers (there’ll be an O’Davis somewhere in the mix,) there is no charge for the dinner, we just ask you to turn your wallets inside out and make a generous donation to FCCC. Ok, we’ll take checks too, made out to KYC noting FCCC donation.

In past years we have matched club funds with what we have received from members, with donations to KCCC at least $1000 and at least once $2000. Let’s make 2014 the year we gave $3000, this is a great organization, and all contributions go to help needy patients with travel, direct expenses, as needed.

Join us, or send a check to KYC, or give it to Bill Tatsuda before March 14th. The auction fund raiser where we present the check to the organization is the next night, March 15th, so timely receipt of your contribution check is important. And thank you, all the generous donors of past years, and we look forward to everyone’s participation again this year.
