Sailing Program Update

a_buoy

This “A” buoy, established near the south end of the airport, is the northernmost mark on our sailing course. Sailors need to be aware that although there is plenty of room, water shoals rapidly on the Gravina side of the buoy.

Thursday, May 1, is the first KYC sail; “B” fleet start is at 6:00 p.m.–the weather forecast looks good!

PHRF ratings for all KYC sailing fleet boats are now posted on this website under the “Sailing” tab, above. All each skipper will be issued a PHRF document explaining how the rating was derived by PHRF-NW in Seattle. Click here to go directly to the KYC PHRF Ratings page.

Sailing Fleet Captain Jim Dahl is searching for a scoring program that can be used online; results will be posted on this website as they become available. See you on Thursday!
